Get Out and The New Era of Horror

This week on the podcast we’re talking about Jordan Peele’s directorial-debut “Get Out” Released in 2017 at the Sundance Film Festival. This film boasts a scrappy 4.5 million budget and found itself raking in 255.4 million alongside 4 nominations for the academy awards and winning the award for best original screenplay. Aside from a great director the film shows the talents of actors such as Daniel Kaluuya, Allison Williams, Catherine Keener, Bradley Whitford, Lakeith Stanfield, and Lil Rel Howery.

Easy to see that Jordan Peele has a dark world to share with us and one that we want to be apart of. This films dark life like tones are evenly matched with some light comedic breaks throughout the film. From our discussion we can all agree this is a great film to add to your Halloween watchlist this year!
