Ratings: IMDB: 6.9/10  Rotten Tomatoes: 58% Metacritic:56% Google Users: 92%
My Rating: 4.5/5, this is one film I have watched repeatedly year after year and somehow my wife hasn’t watched it in years?

Summary in a Tweet: Young Thatcher follows his father’s instructions to go out and see the world then follow his feet home. He makes friends and enemies along his journey around Europe during this action-packed comedy.

Have I watched this before?: Yes, at least once a year I tune in and watch a Knight’s Tale.

What Could Have Been Better: Uhm, to be real I just enjoyed the hell out of this film. I know there are flaws. I just can’t recall them.

What I loved and Final Thoughts: What’s not to love about a film about jousting with comedy on the side and a strong message that you can follow your dreams and change your stars. I thought Heath Ledger stood tall as William the lead of this film with his companions they made a working unit that both pulled at our heartstrings and made us laugh within a short period.

I  enjoyed the crew as it started with four misfits needing to make enough money to return to England then end up dominating jousting tournaments all through Europe adding a few extra companions along the way. I also want to give a huge shout out to Mark Addy as he is one of my favorite actors. Starting from the first time I watched him in Jack Frost then onto Game of Thrones.

A Knight’s Tale is a fun comedy with a feel-good message we all need to hear. It also shows off the power of friendship and what impact good friends can have on helping you achieve your goals. I think the comedy-adventure combo wins the day for me on this one. The tournament is filled with good action and witty banter between all the characters.

If you haven’t watched A Knight’s Tale I recommend getting your butt in a chair and enjoying the adventure that reminded us of the humor in day to day life mixed with a bit of modern fun. You can currently find A Knight’s Tale on Netflix.
